Wray
Forgotten the taste and smell Of the world that she’s left behind
My heart beats slowly here in this empty dungeon filled with my very own monsters and sins. They haunt me always, screaming and breathing their way through my mind until the light burns them out.
It burns me as well.
I know that outside my bubble the world continues without me. Being only… young… I know not what it holds. I simply want to touch it again. To touch it without being broken or burned by the monsters who dwell outside of me. The dark sings to me sometimes, it speaks of the fear and foolishness it creates. It tells me I should not know these things, but the monsters… the burners… who put me here, plan to have me learn them forever. There is no escape from this bubble I hide in.
Wray held out her hand again, hoping for the millionth time to touch something real, something substantial. And once again, she failed. There was no touch unless it burned and through this thought she screamed again, and again, and again. The sense deprivation center she was held in was at least five years old. Nestled in a deep white laboratory that was in turn, nestled in a great green valley somewhere on the edges of the European woods.
Glamours made by the Wizards who worked in the lab kept all away from the sunless place. All of the humans at least. Wray was one of many who were left here for the Wizards to ‘practice’ on, one of the many who were fed and allowed to live simply so they could feel pain.
Wray knew that soon it would be her turn again. She would be released from the demons of the darkness writhing within her. Within everyone. But with the light came the pain, the torture. She shuttered knowing even the burnings were better than the demons. And so she waited, whimpering like a wounded dog, waiting for her master to come home because there was nothing else she knew. Alaki
Alaki was very careful as she ghosted through the quiet halls, they needed to remain quiet, at least for a while longer. Her dark hair was pulled back in a braid, her face half covered by a black scarf so the cameras couldn't see her face, it'd be a problem if the white rose realized who was destroying their lab. Well, they'd probably guess it was the Red Rose, but this way they'd have no proof and could steam quietly while Althea could point to the rebellion and deny everything. That was the plan anyway. "Go look around, we don't need to burn anything worth taking." Kiree, also masked, nodded silently and moved off in the shadows. She's a good co-captain Alaki thought, and did a good job keeping the 5 others in line for her. Alaki padded softly down a dark hall way, pulling on doors to see if there was anything worth noticing. Nothing. This is hardly even worth the effort, Alaki pulled on a door. Locked. Or maybe not. Surely something worth locking is worth taking. Alaki didn't bother with a lock pick, instead she held the door handle in her hands and concentrated, shoving her blue magic in the key hole and focusing on turning the dead bolt. Click Alaki smiled and walked in, there was a white oval thing. A giant egg? Alaki just sighed and poured more magic onto the key pad, she needed to be more careful, she'd already used a lot of magic that night to be invisible, to break in, and she needed to save energy for setting the laboratory ablaze in wizard fire, and possibly a fire fight if things didn't go well. Alaki dropped the invisibility spell and opened the door. "What's this?" Confusion. A little girl? What? Alaki stared at the small child laying there, pale with black hair. "What are you doing here?" Why would they have a child here? Unless... "I suppose you're worth taking with me."

Wray Quae nocent, saepe docent
A hum filled the air around her and Wray opened her eyes. Suddenly a silhouette of light appeared, tracing a rectangular door way in the normally dark air. They’ve come for me she thought, with resignation. She shivered at the new thought and curled into herself, closing her eyes tightly trying to reject the fact she knew to be true. Without looking up she heard the breathing of the person.
"What's this?"
Wray froze. This was not a voice she knew. The voices of every single person who had ever spoken to her in this lab was etched into her mind. Imprinted much as a fingerprint would be. However this new voice did not fit any of those she remembered.
It’s another one. Cringing Wray tried to drown out the darkness. Another test. Wray knew the dark was right. Every once in a while the Wizards made an illusion that someone had come to rescue her. To bring her out of her living hell. Each time, the moment she left her small world bubble, they would come out. The Wizards. They would shock her and burn her, leaving her screaming in the dark with only her demons for comfort, which wasn’t saying much
While she thought about this, deciding whether to trust the mirage or not, the person still hadn’t gone away. In fact, it spoke again. "What are you doing here?" Wray had to give them credit, despite her fear. This one was a lot better then the ones before. Usually the mirages wavered a bit and their voices cracked occasionally. This one was tall, with brown hair, and much more realistic features. A girl as well, older then most of the mirages before.
Are you willing to go out again? To feel the pain you know will come? Wray looked up at the light filtering through the door, fear creeping into her eyes. She didn’t want to feel the pain, didn’t want to hide in her bubble. Every time a mirage came for her she would go with it. Hoping that this time it was real. The Wizards had tried time after time to break her of this but each time she still tried to escape. But now, after everything she had been through she refused to leave. If they had improved their mirages, think how much improved their torture would be.
"I suppose you're worth taking with me."
She felt the sound rise in her throat. Pure terror ripping through her vocal cord out of her lungs. Take me? Was this death itself, finally tired of me living on earth? The scream ripped out of her throat, piercing the air like an alarm. I’m not ready to die! Wray thought, terrified of a dark so constant that even pain could not bring her out of it. I would rather live with hope of escape then die in this prison.
Suddenly the sound stopped. Wray had run out of air, she took a deep breath and held it, waiting for the next uncontrolled scream to rip out of her throat. It only took a few moments before it began again. Wray waited for it to end and clutched her head.
Hair.
She could feel her own hair, maybe, just maybe if this mirage had hair then Wray could be assured it was real. Waiting for the scream to end Wray lay in her bubble, curled in on her self. When it stopped she rested her hands gently on the ground and put her knees beneath her. She knew from experience she couldn’t stand after being in here for so long, but she could crawl.
Maybe you will die this time. A trace of hope entered the voice of the dark. A friend she had come to know so well, Leave us alone.
Wray pondered the dark’s words while trying to force her small pale hands to move across the floor of her bubble. Why am I screaming again? Oh yeah I’m afraid. Afraid of being hurt again. Wray crawled slowly across the floor, random screams escaping from her. Finally she dragged herself to the edge of the light that filled her bubble and collapsed on the floor gasping for breath. She forgot completely about the person whose feet she now lay at.
She lay exhausted while the demons whispered at her. You’re so weak. You can’t even crawl anymore, how do you expect to escape this place. Do us all a favor and die already. Laying on the floor Wray sobbed and curled up on herself, laying on a cold tiled floor. I don’t want to die, not yet. Save me, someone save me. What hurts, often instructs

Alaki
Akaline stared down at the girl, less sure now than before. She had come to the conclusion that the girl was a captive, most likely a warrior as like her little brother had been. The though filled Alaki with revulsion and made her want to let blue fire fill the room with anguish for any that dared to commit such a wrong. Still, the girl being a White Rose warrior would explain her being here. So why is she in a sense deprivation chamber? Shouldn't she be training? Alaki had only gotten to visit her brother once since he had been sold, understandable as she was a Red Rose noble, and he was with White Rose trainers, after all, what would stop her from killing her defenseless sibling?. She'd seen him only with the agreement she'd encourage him to train harder and cry less, Alaki had been horrified to speak, let alone help him. Still, this girl was nothing like her brother aside from who held them prisoner. Alaki covered her ears with a frown, annoyed at the screeches though she could hardly blame the poor child. "Do you think I'm a monster or something?" Alaki's green eyes flashed with irritation, even if it was unjust, she was getting a headache and this was not according to the plan of get in, and get out unnoticed. Still, Alaki couldn't leave her here, whether she screamed nonstop or not. I had been thinking of getting a puppy, she can't be that much different. Right? Alaki calmed herself as the small girl dragged herself across the floor to rest at her feet. Again alarm bells rang silently in her head. She shouldn't be this weak, if she were being trained she should be stronger, strong enough to slit my throat. Why can't she even stand? Why was this little girl here? "Little one, stop screaming. I don't know why you're here but I know it's wrong, we're leaving. Now hush up will you? I don't need more work getting you out alive." Alaki felt a little bad for speaking harshly, she brought her voice to a more placating croon, "Honey, it's alright, we're leaving, now try and be good." Alaki bent down and lifted the girl, holding her in her arms like a baby. "You're okay now" Alaki stroked her soft black hair and transferred her to one shoulder, she needed a free hand. Gripping the amulet at her throat, she activated it with murmured breath. "Kiree? The plan failed. We can't just slip out now, bring the black jeep in at the southwest side." Alaki switched her focus with a bit more effort, now speaking to the other people on her team who held a similar amulet. "Gather in the southwest corridor, the jeep's there for our escape. Reasons will be given later." With that Alaki held on to the tiny girl a little more tightly and broke into a run down the halls, imagining the blue print in her head. The girl shouldn't be this light, she's underfed. "What's your name?" Alaki continued to run, occasionally swiping her hand to the side letting blue energy slip from her finger tips to create a wall of fire, she hoped it would hold them long enough to get away. Filthy White Wizards, can't even stay quite long enough for us to make an unnoticed escape.
